it was an unforgettable experience. when we first drove into the tanah perkuburan, it was pitch black. only our cars' headlights showed the way and thru the windows, we could see lots of kuburs and batu nisans.
how was i feeling? perfectly normal, Alhamdulillah. i looked forward to the experience. (:
when we approached near the maqam, we parked our cars along the car tracks and cik hamid, leading the way, took us to the maqam which stands out from the rest. big with white marble. looked even whiter in the night.
the surrounding was quiet and peaceful. and more surprisingly, bright on this side. the moon was considered still full. its light seemed almost magical as it illuminated the tanah perkuburan. the sky was a little on the reddish side with some tinge of orange... and a few stars were seen twinkling here and there...
beautiful... if you asked me... :)
we sat round the maqam; big enough to fit us all (5 men and 5 women). then cik hamid, lead us in reading a short tahlil consisting of the first 3 pages of our kitaab and the dua' at the last page of the maulid...
it was a terrific experience for me... getting to read the tahlil in such environment....
and in front of maqam mu'allim lagi... hai.... terharu rasanya...
syukur sgt dpt gi... teringat wajah ustaz dulu masih hidup....
selepas kami baca doa, kami mengusap dan mencium nisannya... dan mengharapkan barakah dari kemuliannya...
dan setelah itu kami melangkah kaki untuk pulang.... dengan kesedaran bahwa ini lah yang akan menjadi tempat kami... di satu hari nanti...
jauh dari manusia...
sunyi dari keluarga dan rakan2....
dan akhirnya
hanya amal yang kan menjadi teman...
sungguh Imam Ghazali RA pernah menulis dlm kitabnya:
"sesungguhnya aku kian menyedari... bahwa amal itu adalah sangat penting"

and after that i apologized to someone whom i had dragged into something which was lame and he did not like at all....
and i do sincerely hope hes ok now... and wont hate me haha... tho i think he will think im such a loser... -_- but thats ok....
because today Alhamdulillah i had a great day too. :)
taught at tuffahah, aft that simplyIslam (http://www.simplyislam.com.sg). like the children there. like the staff too. two of my maarif friends nadzirah & khairun also teach there :) so they kecoh-kecoh round me for a while... hehe....
then at night went out to dinner with my family... been a while since i followed them out to dinner.. (asek bz je.. class la.. kwn la.. kembara la...) was fun... had spaghetti and also tasted other dishes my sisters ordered...
then went parkway parade... and i bought new shoes! hahaha (actually cldnt wait to go to this part :p)
i loved my new shoes! :D its simple, black, of course haha. (senang match lah). feminine cut. suka :p and quite high heeled (nk step tinggi hehs)
suka parkway :D lamaaaa tk gi.
bli baju knit yg hanya berharga $4!!!! (ni bunyi ruqayyah bila dia dah excited)
