r.u.q.a.y.y.a.h.

Alhamdulillah today was my first day at work.. yes Alhamdulillah i got the job at hougang clinic (wont say exactly where :p). it is part-time, however. coz they dont need a full time at the moment. so i work only on weds and thurs and alternate fridays. i am actually quite fine with that.
during the trial and today, i went through some quick training with cindy and wendy. i realized in private practice, they usually use the brand names rather than the name of the thing itself. for eg if the doctor wants calcium hydroxide, they will say dycal (which is the brand of the thing) or if they want zincoxidedressing, they will say Kalzimonoc or something like that i cant even remember myself. -_- it is quite different during attachments coz over there we will just say "i need znod or gic or polyC".
instruments too are quite different as during attachments, we were only exposed to operative, preventive and periodontic dentistry. other instruments like those used for endodontics (root canal) i dont really know. so just now cindy taught me a lil bit.
all in all it is a professional job and i learnt to appreciate dental assistants a lot more now. last time me and jianing slept on each other when we're supposed to be assisting -_- quite good thing also la as we both become such independant operators haha
i hope from this job, i will get myself exposed/used to the private practice environment.
i hope to learn as much as i can about other parts of dentistry.
and of course i hope to do a good job.
however i hope more that the dental hygiene act will come out fast. because personally, i still prefer treating than assisting.

this friday, insyaAllah i'll be going kl with hazirah, mohksin and ridhwan (these are the only 3 ppl i know). it will be my first time going to another country with friends. and get this, we are taking train!!! :D the last time i took train to malaysia was when... i was 5? :/ so very very long ago. yea! i was very happy when my father said yes i can go :) hehe if only he knew the stress i went through to think of what to say/how to tell him. syukran ya abb! i think he is less worried because mohksin's parents are going as well :) yea.

im having quite a fun time with my camera so far. hehe. i did smtg below using serif photoplus6.0 just now. its not that pro but ok2 je lah. hehe. editting takes a lot of time. :/ thats why i dont like it coz im worried bout my eyes. x)
