the trip to kl was one of a kind. first is maybe coz it was my first time travelling with friends. then it was my first time taking train after i dunno 15 yrs, maybe. it was so... enriching.. and 'heartliving'... (jiwa hidup x)) and fun... and fulfilling... and satisfying.. all at the same time.. it was amazing. Amazing is the word i guess..
we started on fri nite @ tanjong pagar stn where we board the ktm at around 11pm. the train was delayed as it should have arrived earlier. 10 of us. 5 girls- me, hazirah, atifah, maryam & atifah's mother, cik lin. and 5 boys- mohksin, ridhwan, rizwan, zul and nizam. we didnt know each other at first of course. the only ppl i knew were haz, mohk and ridwan and atifah, by name only.
in the train we were surprised (me, especially) but surprised in a good waay to see bunk beds all over the carriage :) it was so.... unexpected. i was prepared to sit for hours but bunk beds were out of expectation. we all had the top bunks (as its cheaper compared to th lower which comes with coffee table and easier, of course u dont need to climb the ladders). but it was fun :D and so exciting. hehe. i was v. excited over the bunk beds. me and hazirah chose to face each other. next to us were atifah and cik lin and aft that maryam and ridhwan. mohksin was sumwhere infront and the others in another carriage.
the bunk beds were great. they were long enough and comfy enough. and the best thing was they came with these curtains where we can close when sleeping. so us girls could take out our tudungs when we were sleeping :D
going journey was very verrry long (nak naik train sgt kan dpt naik trus kene 12 jam haha) the train was delayed... and then the engines went faulty @ ayer kuning and so when were supossed to reach kl at 10, we reached around 12. in the train we took pictures and slept and talked and got to know each other and ate in the canteen and read and slept again and also we got to play at the railway tracks at ayer kuning when waiting for the train to get repaired hehe. this bit was fun so... in a way its kind of a gd thing the train went down. hee.
arrived at kl sentral we ate lunch @ kfc. there we met zul's cousin kak suriani whos a UM student. she would be taking us round the city =) after eating we took the LRT- the KTM and the STAR. it was a great way to see the city. kl is a city with lots of buildings with domes and mosque-like structures. very nice. :)
we arrived at pwtc (putra world trade centre) and there was the exhibition. there were all sorts of things! :D from lots of different countries. turkish kokka, saudi arabian gaharu, iranian clothes, chinese bracelets, african paintings, malaysian khat, books and more books, food and more food, all the different people from the world! the way they dress, the way they talk, the way they do business. it was like mecca. only smaller. and more colourful hehe. there were alo stageshows. all those talented children who can sing, and talk, and lecture. masyaAllah. it was such a once in a life time experience.
i bought quite loads of things from the exhibition-mostly for the ppl back home here in spore. my mother- a brooge with pearls. glad she likes it, Alhamdulillah. my father- buruj al khaleej, a gaharu from saudi arabia. it comes complete with coal and tempat bakar and the smell, subhanaAllah. just like masjidil haram. he loves it. my sisters- bookmarks and chinese bracelets. fadhilah's is a bit special as hers i got the kakak to write her name behind in arabic calligraphy. and more bookmarks for some friends. shopping was fun~
after that we went to the mall. yes, its called the mall. :p cute kan. here, finally i bought things for myself. nothing much just a pair of shoes that cost 10 sgd. haha. i like it a lot. oh, and a pretty white bracelet. =)
we shopped and shopped summore and went back to kl sentral. there we did maghrib-isya'. had our dinner at kenny rogers. my very first time eating there and it was soooo good :D took pictures and everything. and rushed to our train....
in the train most of us slept... sbb dah penat... :) arrived at woodlands around 7 in the morning. where we ate our breakfast @ BK causeway point. (my first time also :p banyak first time aku eh :p)
it had been very memorable... :) im happy i went...
